What is a visual field test?

A visual field test assesses your peripheral vision.

It can detect eye disease early when treatment may save sight.

Why should I use this app?

To check for sight threatening diseases like glaucoma.

If detected early, further vision loss may be prevented.

A normal test does not exclude disease,

so please see your eyecare clinician for regular checkups.

Who should use this app?

If you can use a computer, you can use this app.

You do not need permission to perform the visual field test.

Even if you see well, it may detect a problem and save your sight.

If you need regular visual field tests (e.g. glaucoma), use this app.

You can give permission to your clinician to view the results.

If you have vertigo or unstable epilepsy,

check with your clinician if it is safe to use this app.

How do I perform the test?

You will need:

a computer with a clean screen, and a mouse
internet access
speakers or audio
a webcam
a tape measure or ruler
to be seated in a quiet, darkened, undisturbed room
